PRINTS, PRINTS & MORE PRINTS!!! LET'S TALK STYLING ANIMAL PRINTS

HOW TO STYLING PRINTS ZEBRA & TIGER
SAVAGE X FENTY KIMONO, PRETTY LITTLE THING BAGUETTE, SHEIN SANDALS

Ok Fierce Family, I'm going to be giving y'all all the secrets to playing around with prints & pattern mixing. These five prints will create a beautiful wardrobe you never knew you needed! Zebra, Leopard, Tiger, Camouflage & Snake are the key ingredients.

If you're afraid of wearing prints or busy outfits in general, you shouldn't be. All you need to know is the base formula and go from there. It's actually quite simple when you think about it, what is a base you may ask well; a base is the beginning or first layer of something. For example my photo above you're probably thinking how did I choose orange shoes? The kimono has three colors in it black, yellow & orange, the orange is almost like a line tracing the black stripes giving it this raised effect so I chose to pull it out. Then I paired it with my zebra bag which played on the black tiger stripes and the oversized sunnies with the orange and yellow lens just tied it all together giving it this very cute retro vibe.

Give yourself some time to play around in your wardrobe on a day you have nothing planned and play dress up. Shopping your own closet can be very rewarding when you find out you had the ability to create looks from basic pieces. Oh & don't forget to make it fun with some good jams and a glass of wine you deserve it!

My favorite two prints are zebra & camouflage they are great prints to mix up and make some bomb outfits. Camo is considered a neutral just like leopard print is they just go with any and everything. For example I would pair a zebra top with camouflage pants, shorts, skirt, or jacket/blazer, remember when I said pick a base color well black would be the color for those combinations. Pulling out one color is always going to be the easiest option because it gives the outfit a sense of symmetry and at that point you can start to play with bold colors to make it pop or accessorize!

Another combo I love to do is zebra and leopard print and oh my is it mind blowing how gorgeous the two are together. This combo will always pair nice with a bold red lip or subtle nude! Black is always going to be the base of all five prints and don't be afraid to throw some stripes, plaids or even snake print in as well. As you can see in the photo to the right I decided to get a little funkier with the mixing by adding three prints zebra + leopard+ tiger and it all works because there's really on two colors that the eye is drawn to. The brown and the yellow stand out as pops of color while the black binds all three prints together making look cohesive seeing that it is a base color and neutral. As long as your outfit has the same color scheme you can mix and match or match and match whatever your little fashion heart desires.
